Do they fit? (Shins) *with pics of chicken legs!*

My stuff came today! Reference to this thread: http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php/topic/64126-shins-and-bag/

These Sher-Wood T90s are pretty darn nice. Comfortable and lots of padding, but I'm kinda wondering if I should go with the 16" (these are 15"). I measured and it looked like 15" would fit, and it's what size my old CCMs are, but I'm kinda thinking they might be a little short.

I had my wife take pictures from 4 angles. Skates are not laced tight. Seems like I've got a little bit of exposure on the right and left side just above the boot, but I wonder if 16" would be too long. What do you guys think???

Ignore my ghostly, scrawny, hair stems...

Some players like the smaller shin guards as they believe it increases mobility, but that is a nice gap of protection if you ask me.

I would go with a larger size.

All depends what you like.. You could probably go up a size just based on how those are cut in the back.

Some guys like HUGE shins..

You don't necessarily have to go up a size, it depends on how long you want your shins and whether or not you prefer to wear them over the skate tongue or under. You need to make sure that your knee is squarely in the knee cushion first and with socks and everything on, including skates, see how snug they still are on your leg. With your 15"s, you could try tucking the skate tongue inside to give you that mobility. Assuming your knee is secured and judging by your picture, you could opt for a 16" only if you want max coverage and if you want to go tongues in; 15" seems to be fine for you either in or out.

Holy crap!! Never seen anyone wear them like that before, haha!

Honestly, I'm worried to order a larger size as I wonder if they'd be too long and interfere with how the skate fits; it's hard to picture just how long they would be. I am, however, leaning toward going to the 16" though at this point...

Good advice. I've always worn the tongue outside of my shins, but it's worth trying it out.

It was tough at first feeling exactly where my patella fit into the patella's circular, recessed cushion. I finally had to put my fingers inside to really "feel" it into the right spot, which is when I noticed they were a bit short.

I wear my tongue inside my shins and the back sticking out based solely on watching some pros and other players at the rink.

I've never tried it vice versa, it's the way i've always done it. It's all personal preference,.

Needs more flop.

I like to wear my gear a little bit smaller, and I'm a small guy. I'm 5'8" and wear 13" Warriors. I think they look fine. In the end, it all comes down to what you are comfortable wearing/skating in.
