bladesdangles 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2013 I'm comming from a nexus, I'm 5'8 165 an use a 65 flex cur bout a inch an a half 2 inches, I like the puck feel an an whip on the shot, sometimes its a little too whippy but a 75 cut down to a 85 or 90 doesn't sound appealing, mostly use snap shots / wrist shots with a larg snapping motion in it, an onetimers, I know there very different sticks in how they feel but I'm wondering if these might be better options. Souldriver 64 Report post Posted September 11, 2013 The flex in the covert line is low but it is a bit bowlike as well. Its said to have flex near the top hand. They have diagrams of it but I honestly don't feel.it that much but I guess it is working.I feel the flex on it isn't whippy per say but it's easier loading. I use an 85 that's cut down to where it feels like a 95-100 flex and I love it, it feels like the stick is trying to do the flex work for you but at the same.time it's not wimping out. I have a cyclone that is 95 flex and when I shoot with that it feels whippy, almost like a noodle and I personally don't like that. The dt1 feels like it's loading up but it remains stiff and under control and not boldly. The best way to explain this is I took a little erister from the blueline as 3 defenders were coming down on me, I thought I couldnt get it off or it would be weak but really with a small flick I sent to the net and almost got it in and it was hovering about thigh height. I was amazed how with a little flick it not only gave back a lot but it also released reqly quickly. The apx needs you to put effort into it to give it back. Good stick as well but I prefer the warrior at this time. With the grip stuff the non grip clear version.has the diamond grip which is just a raised texture I didn't think I would be a ran as I'm a non grip guy but you don't notice it. And even being a center with a lot of standing in front of the net, faceoffs, and corner work I don'trremember dropping it. I know they have a grip version and I think it still has the diamond texture but with a rubbery grip feel on it but I'm not 100% I know they offer velvet grip on their dynasty line which is a good medium poi.t but for the converts you would need to go the custom route for that. I am happy with it, just wondering if I can get more outa the dt1 The apx needs you to put effort into it to give it back.
