lkool 1 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 Last a spring I became what I have always despised, (maybe that was too dramatic) when I purchased a composite stick for my then 5 y/o mite. The sales guy insisted that I could get a plug extension for the end when the time comes, well the time is here and I can't find one, do they exist? It's a youth stick, I see plugs for senior and junior but not youth.Thanks.

lkool 1 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 Your best bet will be to file down a juniorthanks for the response. I think I will just bite the bullet and go with a new stick. This one will become a dryland stick
jere26 5 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 I agree with what Chadd said. What I have done before to extend a junior composite stick is to get a wooden plug and cut off the tenon (part that goes inside the shaft) plus an inch or two more of the handle. I trimmed/sanded the plug handle so it was the same dimensions as the tenon. Now I had a piece long enough to join the stick with an extension. The extension was simply cut from a scrap shaft of a similar broken stick. Then I heated the new joint plug and stuck it halfway in the shaft and let it cool firm. Then I added the extension with additional hot glue. In true MSH style, I had drilled out the center of the wood to keep things light. Worked like a charm.
