Seam in APXRs rubs ankle

I bought some APXRs awhile back (awesomely light skate) my problem is the horizontal seam in the liner rubs my ankles at times (early on it took the skin right off my ankles), has anyone else had annoyance with the seam rubbing? has it softened up over time?

I've never heard of the seam doing this is any skate. Do they fit well otherwise, is the seams in both skates the same?

Yeah wear socks, and the fit of skate is great other wise, I'm now thinking it maaybe the sewn edges on the tounge not the seam.

I felt the 'rubbing' as I was lacing them up last night and started playing with the tounge and that seemed to be the cause. I switched to shin pad behind the tounge and seemed to help,, ( with all my previous ice and in line skates Ive been a shin pad over the tounge) , will try that again when hockeys back after xmas.
