Nosferatu 8 Report post Posted January 1, 2014 Hi folks not sure if this exactly the right place to put this . The topic title kind of says it all , most of you will be going where and why ? Simply put Whitley bay ice rink is home to the Whitley Warriors and all of their junior and peewee teams as well as womens and rec hockey . Back in the days before the Elite league the Warriors were one of the top teams in the UK with a proud history and a few fairly well known imports such as Mike Babcock who had a 1 season stint with them in the 1980's Anyway to the point , hockey is only a minor sport in the UK and needs as much encouragement as it can get to keep going , demolishing a rink isn't exactly encouraging .
