Zzz 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Just got home a pair of Easton EQ50 pants, couldn't try them on before I bought them though, so had to just ask the seller for info about sizing.I used to wear a pair of CCM Vector 04 pants in like XL, now I bought a pair of XS (yeah, tummy gotten smaller over the years :P).My main concern is that they are too short in all the different stances. The seller told me that it's not any difference in the length between S and XS, so I just took a chance and order a pair of XS.Before I bought my old CCM 04's I tried on the 08 too, but I found them too be too bulky. Theese EQ50 feels nice for an "ex top of the line" pant. They fit snug arund, but they feel kinda like they're, well, either I'm just too tall with my 5''8 (lol) or they're just made to sit very high up on you? If I pull them up I can't I usually wear my old (and quite big nowdays...) pants kinda low, so the main question:If I go up a size, how much/would the legs get longer? Anyone sitting on an old pair of EQ50 pants in S or M?I mean... they fit damn good over my ass , but the legs is kinda too short and the core part is so damn long. So far I like them other than the weird fit, I mean, nice pant that doesn't feel that bulky. But yeah, can't compare to my old CCM04, that's freedom
Fred 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 I'd say that you just need to get what cover your body better, I have waist problems with every pants I had but I tighten them up as much as I can without cranking and it's ok (I'm fairly tall but don't have big waist)If they are a bit bigger in the waist you can always use suspenders, but for example I tried a little-used TotalOne M pant (before buying CCM U+12 in L size) and even if they were proper size for waist and length cover, they couldn't fit my thigh properly :DI got those CCM that are shorter on the leg (almost same as T1 size M), but they cover thighs properly and I can tie the waist fairly tight to get them stay up..I hope I helped, even if it wasn't Easton! I have a teammate wearing EQ30 pants but he's out for a while with broken ankle so I'm not seeing it from a while, and he's wearing L or XL :D

If I pull them down, I wouldn't be able to skate properly instead. http://www.stretching-exercises-guide.com/images/hockey_stretch_goalie.jpg <--- Not that I'm like that that often, but I would never be able to do that (maybe that's good? I'd never fall down! ) if I pull them down a bit. Why would they be like that D: They were so nice otherwise... You remember the good ol' days? When you just got a pair of pants, pulled them up and went out...Suspenders really aren't my deal. :< Bauer pants never fit... lol, but yeah, not to be like that, but I'm really not that found of Bauer pants. Guess I'll have to try a pair of CCM's again, at least they used to work I'd really appreciate if you could ask his if he feels like they're higher up than other pants, or if he can actually wear them lower. I might not be that tall, but my thighs aren't THAT short...
Fred 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 I'd say try some new CCM pants, they don't go too high absolutely!I had Bauer One60 before buying U+12 and other than upgrading the padding on the back and thighs I got a pant that if pulled up properly it's not too high (it overlaps the shoulder pads a bit, but I like it so my spine its really protected).I'd ask him as soon as I talk to him or see him at the rink anyway.. Let me know if you have a chance to try new CCMs!
Zzz 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 Love living in the middle of nowhere at times like these Guess I'll look for some CCM's then.I'm more for flexibility and moving than protection. Like I said, I treid the CCM 08 pants and the 04, and the 08 were in my opinion just a big piece of ass protection... couldn't move. That was the good thing with the EQ50, they had good protection, didn't feel like the bulky CCM08, but then the fit... One day, imma' get a pair of pants that's great, one day...Really appreciate that, thanks!
strosedefence34 176 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 why not try a girdle. I know a few people who are in-between sizes and use them and love them.
Zzz 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 Honestly just because I've never seen 'em in store and never got to try a pair. Seems like a good idea for better movement, but lots of girdles seem to be more for inline/rollerhockey, so how much less is the protection? I'm a forwards who stands a lot in front of the goal/ blocks a lot of shots, would it still be a good idea to try a pair of girdles?

One of the defencemen on my mens league team who id say blocks just as many shots as our goalie does uses one. He has no compliants. I would like to try one myself maybe one day at pick up I can see if one of my friends will let me try theirs out.
