Seeing some seriously retro skates at the rink lately

In the attempt to work on my skating, I go to as many public skates as I can. the rink inside a mall is where I see the most interesting stuff. First, I saw someone wearing a pair of Langes with blue Perfekta holders, next I see some old Roo skates with black Tuuks, then I saw the grand daddy of all cool, modern retro skates: Daoust 501 with the gold print, and I think those had white ICM holders. Of course it still doesn't beat the old CCM Tacks with tube blades I saw on New Year's Eve. Now, if the bloke wearing the Daoust had blue Perfektas, I would have tried to get those- I'd love to add that to my Gretzky-type gear collection...

Most of these throwbacks I have seen lately definitely look like they didn't see much action over the years. I suppose there are people who would buy seriously expensive skates for occasional, casual use. It just blows my mind when I see stuff like that.
