jtleafs33 1 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 Just a quick question, can I have TotalOne NXG's punched out? Do I need to heat the area first (I want to punch out the inner ball of the foot, right behind the toe cap)? I really like my repair guy but he would attempt to punch out wooden shoes if the customer said to, so I'd like a bit of advice beforehand.

Spot heating helps to get a lot of movement in the boot quickly. If you have days to spare, adjusting the clamps by a small amount each day places less stress on the boot overall (this from a guy who used to work in pro shop in Canada looking after skates for nhl players).
