Whatever happened to mesh gussets?

Whatever happened to mesh gussets on retail hockey gloves? I got my Reebok 7000s on clearance and love the air flow on my hands, but I look at the offerings today and I don't see anything with mesh gussets. Do people not like them? Is it just more expensive to make them with mesh? Where have they gone? Also it's even harder finding anything with mesh on a 12" glove - my little hands like little gloves.
