CCM Pattern Question

Hey, while I am still trying to find out how to get a custom stick order thru CCM, has anyone successfully transitioned from the old Modano/E4/Duchene pattern to one of the retail patterns in CCM? I have tried the Hossa (P40), but wasn't a huge fan and I have also been told the Tavares (P45) may be the way to go. Anyone have any experience?
