pantallica39 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2014 Does anyone have any info on the Easton pro stock 'Area 51' ST stick that hockey monkey is offering? Ive seen posts about the synergy's and the Stealth's but nothing about the ST. Are these stick built like the original ST stick, durability wise? I know pro stocks are built to a players spec's but I'm just curious to know if its anything like the original ST.
mcne0101 17 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 I can only speak to the stealth version. The stick performed awesome, but I've had two and the blade cracked on the toe twice within 5 hours of ice time. I emailed Hockeymonkey and the rep essentially admitted they've had durability issues on the area 51 stealths. Who knows if they've had the same issues with the ST but i'd be leery. After reading some of the reviews of the "area 51" pro stocks that HM has, I'm a little skeptic now because none of those reviews are really good. I guess I'll post a review on them once i receive them. Biggest issue for me is the blades constantly breaking or becoming really soft.
mcne0101 17 Report post Posted October 16, 2014 yeah the toe split very quickly with both sticks for me. That's never happened to me with any other stick, i even tape the toe of my sticks.
