CCM RBZ Skated right after baking my skates am I screwed?

Recommended Posts

So fair warning I have severe ocd. I've browsed a couple forums and from what I gathered I should be ok, but I wanted to see what you guys had to say. I got my skates baked today brand new, first time for me baking skates. Guys at the shop didn't say anything about a rest period. I went and skated at an open ice an hour later. From what I understand the issue is with the adhesives not solidifying after baking, not necessarily the carbon fiber skate being "soft". My question is did I do anything to permanently mess up the skate? If so how would I tell if my skate was blown out or anything wrong with it? Or is it kind of a situation where if my skates start falling apart in 6 months I have my answer? haha

If you live in a warm climate you could have issues if the skates weren't able to cool at all. If you have cold weather, you probably are ok but in 6 months you could be having issues, likely not so I wouldn't dwell on it, you prob are OK.

Right on man thank you, that's the answer I was looking for. Unfortunately I'm in San Jose and it was 80 degrees yesterday haha but I think I'm fine. I just need some affirmation of this to calm my ocd mind which tells me I'm screwed over and over again despite evidence of the contrary haha
