I just picked up a pair of lightly used Bauer Supreme Junior 30" for my 10 year old and he is very pleased. They are well made and have all the right features. See my Avitar....

DR has some nice, and affordable, pads. Get something decent but don't spend a ton as they're only going to last a couple years at most.

Honestly, just get the pads that your 10yr old feels the most comfortable in, are easy to use, and don't break the bank....

Holidays...We are also in the process of moving everything to Montreal and Plattsburgh...We are also moving to a new building in SoCal in the next month or so...
