MikeBoyarchuk 45 Report post Posted November 9, 2015 Is this to raise your heal up? I've only seen the service offered in store here in Montreal, never for sale on its own. Do any of your skate gurus have that option?
Wallyt 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2015 Heel spacer is to tilt u forward if needed . U need to know first if ur skate already pushes u forward that's the first step. Wallyt
greyraven8 9 Report post Posted December 17, 2015 Think my local hockey shop (no longer in business) did some DIY shims/spacers with sheets of plastic; think they got the plastic from a player I used to play with - not certain who/where. Think it might be the guy who used to own an outdoors business - will add information on the plastic material when I contact him (if he was the person).Had two pairs of the same make and model of skate (bought both used - made different years ???) but 2nd pair wasn't as tilted as far forward as the 1st.Got the shims/spacers on the heels to match the tilt of my 1st pair.Worked very well until the plastic holders on the skates broke much later. The lack of availability of that style of holder available combined with multiple holes already drilled in the boot, combined with overall condition of skate, and advice from my LHS made me get differenet skates (1st new pair in decades). Here's a couple of pics that show the spacers used:
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted December 21, 2015 Make them yourself. You should be able to get some material from Lowe's, cut them to shape and get them mounted on.I've done that in the past with some of my previous skates. Dont really need to do that now with the Pitch 3 holders.
