Broken AX1

Hi all,

I have a broken Warrior Dynasty AX1, and I was wondering if this would be easy to turn into a shaft? It broke right above what I think is the tenon, and I just chopped off the jagged edge. I've heard that you can sometimes heat blades out of the OPS's, does anyone know if I could do that with the AX1? Blade is perfectly fine, and I wouldn't mind using it for floor hockey (it'll be too short for ice).
