Grip Hockey Gloves

Recommended Posts

Hello to all.

I have a problem: i'm an Italian player and I bought last week these gloves on hockeymonkey http://www.hockeymonkey.com/easton-hockey-gloves-stealth-rs-ii-sr.html. They are beautiful and tapered technology is great but ... ARE SLIPPERY. Compared to my old Easton gloves I have not grip and i could not shoot well, pass well, i have not a good control or feeling with the puck. Do you have any idea to resolve this problem? I can not give it back since I live in Italy and would cost too much delay in USA my new gloves. Thank you thousand

Griptape on the stick, or try rubbing your glove palm with wax (insecure, haven't tried it and it might ruin the glove to some extent)

thank you thousand for your answer.

First thnigs, I used grip in half stick and in the handle of stick but does not change much. I do not want rubbing my glove because i want conserve my new palm.

What does CANDY CANE YOUR STICK? Sorry but I'm Italian so I need some help with this term.

I also read the post about the tape beater: if I understand is it a piece of broken stick wrapped with tape grip ???

I also saw the spray but in the country of fuc..ing soccer these products are fiction.

Thanks for your help.

Candy caning is just wrapping the shaft of your stick with tape, a tape beater is just a piece of a stick or whatever wrapped in tape, if you use white tape, alternate between the regular and sticky side out to add grip if you use black tape be warned it will leave black residue all over the stick and palms.

but in practice the tape beater serves to release the sticky side of the grip tape in my stick?

I had also had another idea that can be a real genius things or very stupidity.
I had thought to put the non-slip latex which is used in children's ssoks. Type this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NyZGpHBVMM
my fear is that by placing the latex in my gloves, these have too much grip. I don't know.

Yeah its going to add a tacky grip to it. The latex is a good idea if you find a way to attach it to the stick or palms. Not sure how much grip it would add or what your preference is.

Take an old stick.plug or anything you can use as a handle and start wrapping tape on it. If you're using black tape just wrap it normally, if you're using white tape alternate between the sticky side facing out and not
