GreatestAmericanBeardo 258 Report post Posted February 11, 2016 Hey All,this is a trick i've been using for years (like since the early 80's) to keep your aglet (thats what the little thing at the end of the lace is called) safe from damage, and this keep my laces in their eyelets when tightening up. You'd be surprised how much you can torque on the inverted aglet and lace can take before pulling through.Full disclosure: I've always used longer laces (120"), so i've never had to feed the lace through eyelets when lacing up. Your experience may vary.Yes, i know i'm losing the 2nd eyelet grommet. it actually fell out right after i took these pics.and NO i am not a professional hand modelGAB
