Padding detaching from helmet

I bought a pro-stock Easton E700 about a month ago. When it arrived, a few of the little velcro footballs that hold the sweat band and other padding to the inside of the helmet had come off. I ended up using Gorilla glue to stick them back on. Held fine for a few skates, but this past weekend i noticed they were starting to peel off again. 

 

What is the best glue to use to reattach these? I'm wondering if I should ditch the little velcro football's all together and just replace it with some heavy duty velcro strips.
