Recommended Posts

I saw a posting a week or so ago, that showed a hockey store in London that was selling Pro Mogilny Innovative 1100. Can anyone ell me what store that was? Sorry about this, but I did a search and couldn't find it out. Thanks.

Probably HockeyGeeks, if not I believe theres another one called Petes thats a SFS, you could always try yellowpages.ca if your having trouble.

why does everything else cost so much there ?

they seem to have good prices in their store, so I've heard. and their prices on goal stuff usually isn't bad. they just go crazy with some of the player stuff, but they also have s500s for about 375

It's a Canadian store so they just convert their prices to US with basic conversion. The prices are generally average by Canadian standards.

hmmmmm. well let me start off by saying i work at the London Source for Sports...... 200CDN for a regular synergy is avg. in canada pretty much and especially in London... we pretty much rule the city in hockey business and are well respected for our knowledge which our bosses fork out an awful lot of coin out on in order to keep us like that.... we have awesome customers that are lookin for that knowledge and dont necessarily care about the extra 10-30bucks more on certain products. However, in the last months we have lowered our prices quite considerably and now have very competitive if not better prices that the competition in our area

I've always thought they could sorta get away with charging a little more in Canada the same way american companies can get away with charging 175 dollars for a pair of Jordans.

Kaberle's was actually alot smaller than a Lidstrom, I couldn't compare it to anything retail, but Ambro believed it was Modano like.

Best Holmstrom I could find

Yea I had two of them and they were both, like Chris said, Modano-ish with more loft and a square toe. I think the blade was a bit longer as well.

I don't know, $200.19 USD for a regular synergy seems steep to me.

A fair bit of the Synergy's have gone on sale recently.... well for $220 cdn around here. When they aren't on sale they generally run about $250ish Cdn so it'd actually be $210 USD.

I've also had 1 Kaberle and it didn't resemble a Modano at all to me, plus he shaved the toe personally so these (if they are his) may come with a more rounded toe than usual.

Fair enough, I'm not knocking the shop just didn't realize that was the average in Canada. I can pick up a new Synergy here for $90 so to me $200 is steep.

Anyone know what some of those curves and flexes are, I'm gonna pick up 2 of them at that price but I need something RH, Modano or Drury or Sakic style with either a 260 or 300 flex or close to that 220 is probaly ok too

I thought Domi and Lang both used similar curve to Sundin (RP/Druryish) and stiff flex sticks. Green's curve was up in the sell a little earlier. McCarty's is generally very Drury-like. Marshall, Martinek and Maltby I cannot help you with, Kovalchuk's would likely be his huge hook. The Flex's may cause a problem for you though. Try to PM MINT.
