Extending shafts of low kick sticks

Just curious is anyone else has had trouble with flex on low kick sticks that have extended shafts. I've got a 95 flex 1X that I'm thinking about adding length to because the PM9 feels shorter at full length than P92 but I noticed before extending a 1X didn't lead to the stick flex dropping but maybe that's because the kick point is so low, now a mid kick extended felt softer for sure.
