kdwyer56 6 Report post Posted July 28, 2017 Ill start with the Ribcor 46K skates. They will have a upgraded holder that sits 4mm taller in the front and rear posts that will give you a better turning radius and giving you a better stride. You get the pump feature that gives you increased heel lock and a custom fit. It also has the lace tightening system that will help you customize the tightness of your skate. ( tight at the bottom, loose at the top, vice versa) In the Reebok 11K skates you'll have a Performance Lite Stainless Steel blade that makes the blades a bit lighter due to their cut outs, Also includes a carbon composite outsole that will give you better energy transfer and make the skate a bit lighter. All around it will be a very light skate and will have the 1st gen pump and 1st gen skate tightening system. Not going to be as stiff as other top of the line skates but should give you a good ankle wrap. All in all if you are looking for a more recent technology improved skate I'd go with the 46K but if you want to go for a top of the line, light, older skate go with the 11K. They are both very well built and have very good upgrades. Although, if you have some time to buy skates you also could wait until the new Ribcor 2017 line comes out in what I believe is in the middle of August, they are getting rid of the pump (making it lighter) and it will be a flexible boot. I tried the 70K on today and it wrapped very well around my CCM Jetspeed feet. The heat molding capabilities in the skate are unreal. I hope this helps your decision!
