Nexus 1000, good skate. Baking is to get a better fit, if they fit you out of the box with no pressure points or negative space then baking isn't really needed. Skate in them if you can to see what they are like after a skate, then if needed do a bake. And if you want to find out how well they really fit, skate in them with no laces. If you can hop over the boards and they don't fall off then the heel lock and fit is pretty good, if they do fall off then look for another skate.
