CCM Jetspeed Skate Line

Hi,

After going to a few of my LHS's and trying lower end models of the Jetspeed, Super Tacks, Supremes, etc. (they didn't have size 10's in the higher end models) I have figured out that Jetspeed's fit my feet the best. Now I am going to order online but am not sure if I should go for the FT 380 or the FT 390. Are the FT 390's really worth the extra $300? I see that the FT 380's still have the composite boot. I need a stiff skate as I am 6'3' 230lbs and am a strong skater. Is the stiffness markedly different between the 2 models?

Your LHS can't offer information on this? You already used them as a fitting room, might as well pick their brain too.

I don't know how the lines compare year over year, but I had 280s a couple of years back.  They lasted about 18mo until they were toast.  I'm just under 200lbs.  I upgraded to Jetspeed Pros and they are a world different in terms of stiffness and support.
