caveman27 208 Report post Posted April 28, 2019 So, I got another product from prostockhockey, 14" CCM HG41 player gloves. They look great. There was one cosmetic issue on the cuff of the left glove. They didn't cut the fabric quite right so it looks off compared to the right glove. It's about 2 mm of fabric. Maybe these are quality control throw-aways. Everything else on the gloves are great. It's much stiffer at the cuff than my previous gloves, Bauer Vapor X100 in 14". I thought the Bauer gloves were the bee's knees, lightweight, comfortable, and the palm was soft and durable. The CCM gloves are a bit heavier, but the padding is multiple times more thicker all around. Fingers flex easily. The thumb protective part doesn't flex, but I'm used to a non-flexing thumb guard anyway. Every foam piece has a plastic piece on top of it, even the tiny one on the tip of the inside index finger has one, it's like a 3 mm x 4 mm rectangle. The palm has this funky black surface material. It is kind of rough, but it's not on the inside of the glove. These are "tapered" fit gloves so they are tighter around the hand than classic fit (4-roll). I'm really impressed with this glove. It is good for those times when low-level beer league guys think slashing your glove is a way to get the puck off your stick. I'm not sure how "old" this model of glove is considering I paid $80 for them. There would be no way I could get a retail CCM glove at this level of protection for the same price.
