p106 lie

Hello guys, I love the site. I have two xv blades one a p88 and the other p106, p106 is supposed to be lie 5 from what i can find and p88 is 6. When i hold the shafts together the p106 has less of an angle between blade and shaft. I was just wondering if this is normal. Shouldnt it be more of and angle is its a real lie 5? I have trouble when the puck is in my feet ot close to me with p88 but not p106. Thanks.

The p106 TFG I had was more like a 5.5. If you factor in how contoured the heel is, I suppose you could get away with calling it a 5, but if you stickhandled off the heel with that pattern, the front half of the blade wold be like 3/4" off the ice.

I don't have a 106 but the P88s I have are more upright than the P9s I have that are a 5 lie.

its hard to tell from the picture but the front one is p106 lie 5 and the rear is p88, do you guys think p106 labeled wrong or something.

It's just Bauer's lie chart being completely off for every blade for the most part.

The blade lengths are different so matching them up from the blade toes may be deceptive. Try matching them up at the heel of both blades and see how much the lie is off.
