Pro Stock 1x Lite Skate Sizing

I have a pair of 1x Lites that i got off Sideline swap for a great deal. Apparently they were Jay Beagle’s. I bought them fully thinking they were 8D, but when i got them and looked at the holders they read 280, for size 9. The footbed has his player id along with  8DAT8 on both skates, meaning they are size 8 with size 8 toecaps. Is it possible that he ordered size 8 skates with 280 holders on purpose? I didn’t think you could even pull that off. Also, is there any way i can confirm this with his id #? There was a guy in another thread that said he contacted Bauer with the player id and got a full rundown on the skates.

Yes, oversized holders are a quite common sight on customs. Rather than re-stating all the prior information, I'd suggest reading up on e.g. this thread:

Thanks, i figured that could be a possibility. I compared them with my retail Vapors that are definitely size 8, and the boot is definitely longer at least in the toe. I am wondering if they maybe are 8.25 or 8.5’s. Anyhow i think i will give them a go in practice to see if they could work for me.
