Regardless, I would take Flare steel over weight savings any day. As the main new addition to the skate huge disapointment Bauer doesn't really try anything new. That tongue design started with TRUE first. They try new things on their skates all the time. just have some flops they need better testing. The tongue is not durable but I like its comfort. The eyelet cut outs were done 20 years ago. They should have used standard eyelets too, injected eyelets are a nightmare and fail too often. The eye lets are the selling point for me. Its why i stick with vapor. Personal preference That weird outsole system is terrible.
