novius question

Recommended Posts

is the novius a concave shaft? it says in the description its 1/3 double concave, so is the top a regular squared shaft? also how does it compare to the 1100 tapered, durability wise and performance

The Novius is indeed a concave shaft, only on the broad sides. Unlike the xn10 which is concave even on the underside and topside, as well as the broad sides. And if you ask me it makes no difference. It's acutally silly that TPS even went so far as to put such a minor scoupe into the topside and underside. Durability on the shaft is the same as any other, but the paint chips very easily.

The novius is a really nice stick, the blade is a little bouncy though(im not bad at hockey) when receiving a pass it can bounce off easily, but i think its ok in durbaility, stickers/paint comes off easy. shaft is ok though, blade chips easyily too

The tapered Novius is not concave like the standard is. The tapered version is a little concave throughout the whole shaft, whereas the standard version is boxy at the top then gets extremely concave (moreso than the Xn10 if I remember correctly) near the bottom half or so.

also the inno website says the tapered novius is 450 grames. is this true or a missprint

Misprint. The Novius Fused is about that, the tapered Novius is about 300 or a little less.
