Has anyone tried increasing the pitch on a Quad profile?

Zuperior M vs. Quad 1 – Thoughts on Pitch and Performance

I love the explosive first step I get with the Zuperior M due to its increased pitch—it really helps with acceleration. However, at times, it feels like I’m gliding on skis, which can be a bit unsettling. That said, the speed and quick starts are excellent.

The Quad 1 has a more neutral pitch, making it well-balanced for most situations. However, I feel like my first step lacks that extra pop. If I want to accelerate quickly, I almost have to go straight into a crossover—if that makes sense. Once I reach a good speed, it feels solid, and I find I have more agility compared to the Zuperior.

Has anyone tried increasing the pitch on the Quad profile? Would that help with acceleration, or am I missing something?

One thing that confuses me: both profiles are listed with a -20mm pitch, yet Zuperior is described as having more pitch, while the Quad is labeled as neutral. Does anyone know why that is?

Pitch or pivot point. You are mixing two things together.

Prosharp did not clearly differentiate between pitch and pivot point in some of their online content. They even listed "-20mm" as pitch.

Thanks to ChatGPT, I now understand the difference between pitch and pivot point.

What is the pitch on a Zuperior profile? Have you ever heard of anyone using that pitch on a Quad profile?

Am I chasing a unicorn by looking for this combination? If I change the pitch on a Quad profile, will my skates spontaneously combust?

There are multiple versions of quad profiles, and they are not all created equal. In the last year or so I moved mostly to Elite profiles.

Maybe consider a Polaris Quad?
