Stealth vs xxx

Recommended Posts

which one is better for the money? ,i know i heard the stealth has a small shape and feals whippy but i also heard from someone else that its like going from wood to a synergy but instead synergy to stealth theres so much different and the vapour sticks usually didnt last long but is said something about it being a true one piece and more balanced and better velocity then a stealth ,any other opinions? thanks

It's an opinion. The XXX is relatively new and the durability is somewhat unknown, but the Stealth is also having mixed reviews. Some say bad durability, others say great. It'll come down to PP. Pick based on grip, curve and flexes available.

Easton had some problems with the stealth breaking towards the top of the stick because of a different shaft design. They have gone back to the old way and the newer ones have been holding up great from what I am seeing.

I don't really like the grip of the XXX, but my old XX worked pretty well for me. I honestly haven't tried the XXX yet. The XX gave me a good 5 months and then broke at the blade. I'm now using a Stealth and I couldn't be happier with it.

I've seen almost every Stealth that I've sold come back broken in the first 3-4 weeks that is was bought in the months since they've been out. BUt, that being said...most of the people buying them are high school players. Around here, (Columbus, Ohio) most of the high school kids don't get much durability out of OPS, but the Stealth has been less reliable than other OPS. My store just got the XXX this week and have sold through them, I'll be watching to see how they hold up because the high school kids have bought all of them.

For the record, I have had my XX since March (I'm on the ice at least 3-4 times a week). I couldn't get more than 2 months out of my Easton Synergy's, except for my first one which lasted me a year. What all of this boils down to s...I'm a Bauer guy now.

personal preferance of curves and such doesnt apply because bauer has a clone of the sakic i think ,which is my curve of choice ,it doesnt matter if i have grip or not because i had a response plus no grip and an xn10 pro stock with grip and i could switch between them freely and the grip didnt really make anything different

I just bought the Vapor XXX, reg flex, P106 curve and I'm more than pleased with it. The stick's balance is weighted evenly with no heavy spots and flex is uniform and smooth. I have played with a synergy and I hated the puck feel. The XXX gives good feedback and is easy to control. I looked at the stealth and it simply felt brittle in my hands, while, the XXX feels sturdy and strong.
