Bauer Endure thought

I know few people have probably been able to use it, but I was curious about the metal insert on the Bauer Endure. Its located in a section of the stick that flexes so i was wondering if it may have cause problems with it popping or peeling off. Please let me hear your thoughts...i was just curious myself and would hope that i wasnt the only one.
