vapor XX's vs pure flys

anyone used both? if so which ones did u like more/less and why? right now i am usin palhsson pure flys and love them. i am going to be able to get some vapor XX's for $100-130 and want to try a pair. but......pure flys on ebay for $100 right now and might just wana pick up a pair of those instead of the vapor XX's. so basically how are the vapor XX's compared to pure flys?

I've used both. The Purefly's are much more comfortable and I think provide much better protection. The XX's (my current skate) are much lighter and I think preform slightly better. My next pair of skates will definately be Missions, they give the better bang for the buck.

IMO, you should get the Fly's.

i am leaning towards that, also the pure flys are very comfortable, and i am not playing anything elite or anything so comfort should be a top priority. i probally shouldnt say this because is sounds childish but i want the XX's because i use an XX and the XX gloves so i would be all decked out in vapor XX's stuff

Try them both on and pick the ones you are most comfortable in, thats all you can do. Picking skates is ALL personal preference.

normally i wouldnt do that, but u figure $200-250 for both pairs isnt bad and i could get $100 easy for the pair i dont use

I had XX and now I have Pureflys. Yeah the XXs are lighter but they would hurt a little bit when I first put them on each time and with the Mission I dont have that problem. Since you already have the pureflys goin to the XX might be harder for you because the higher cut boot so It might feel wierd

The pureflys imo were more comfortable. plus, the tongue on them rocks. On the other hand the XX is much more lighter, and more protective. Both have their pros and cons. But the pureflys have better durability.

XX more protective? That I doubt...Lighter yes...But do you really notice the weight difference after 2-3 skate sessions? I doubt it...

i am anywhere from 8-9.5 odd isnt it? i wear 9.25 pure flys (pro stock) and i got sized to 8. i wana stick with the 9.25 since they feel better, i had 8's and they felt too small. Justin, do you know what size Sammy palhson wears? i love his pure flys and want to know his exact size, i didnt trust the disney ice people last year

had the purefly's, not bad, took me a while to break them in cause they didn't really fit my feet that well off the bat. But once they were baked, sides punched out and all broken in, they were nice. Now I have the XX's and these fit awesome after 5 skates. Light as hell and I'm not faster, but a bit more agile and quicker on my feet. The XX's seem a bit stiffer towards the top of the boot though.

My 2 cents. When I was in the market for new skates I read dozens of post on the corebeam forum about most of the high end skates that are now out.

The Pure Fly's were the only ones that I saw where NO ONE had anything negative to say.

I got a pair and I love 'em. Get your shoe size. Perfect fit.

i had purflys and than i got the XX's and the pureflys were awesome but i would have to say go with the XX because in my experiance they are lighter, more protective and u can always just not use the top lace loop,but whith the XX being that stiff it kind of defeats the purpose.
