Graf 705 and Tuuk Custom+

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of Graf 705 size 7.5R but I just can't get used to the stiffness of the Corbra holders - I'm not a huge fan of the steel either. So to rectify my little dilemma, I popped off a pair of Tuuk Custom+ size 264 (with a 3mm heel lift) from my old 7.5D Supreme 5000's. BUT the Corbra's are a 263 and the holes are off by a smidge.

Is it a bad idea to enlarge the predrilled holes on the Tuuk's so they will align with the Graf boot or should I fork out some of the multi-coloured stuff to buy a new pair?

Also, do any of you think Graf's screw mount system will hold the Tuuk Custom+ as effectively as their Corbra's or should I have my LHS put in some new holes in the boot with the traditional rivet mounts.

That's a lot on the table I appreciate all the input

Jason

Well, for what it's worth, when they first came out, they came with Tuuks. Therefore, when they were designed, they were with Tuuks in mind.

Second of all, Tuuk C+ is 263, not 264.

You'll probably find that either the front two or the back two rivet holes will line up. You COULD go all RMS or all rivets. I've seen people who have used RMS on the heel or the toe and rivets for the rest.
