Graf Skates

Recommended Posts

Graf has been a great skate company that a lot of people have trusted and used over the long time graf has produced skates. I was wondering what makes the Grafs so great? I've never skated them and am looking into buying some but want to hear opinions before shelling out the major cash. Could anyone tell me what type of skate would be best for me because I know Graf models differ. I have a normal D width in Easton skates, and my arch is a medium-high arch and the widest part of my foot is about 5 inches across (size 12 shoe). Thanks in advance. :) (i'm looking into the G series)

DON'T DO IT! I made the mistake of leaving Bauer (I'd skated in the Vapor line since right about the time they were released) for the Graf G-35s earlier this season. Within a few days (not weeks, DAYS!) on the ice, I noticed that the composite outsoles were splitting near the balls of my feet. After a few more days, the problem had spread to the outsides of my feet. The outsoles of both skates were crumbling.

So I call Graf, and they tell me to take them back to the store where I got them (Front Row Sports, Amherst Pepsi Center). This started a major exchange that took about two months to clear up. So I finally get a replacement pair - they look and feel good, and it appears as though Graf has attempted to make some changes...Changes that didn't really work. My right skate is looking good. My left skate, however, looks as though it has been through a war...Same problems as I had with the last skates.

I'm never buying Graf again...

I switched from Vapor XXs to G5s and i could not be happier. They are by far the most comfortable, best fitting skate i have ever worn; and the XXs were custom. I had a custom XX made to fit my really wide foot (about a EEE-EEEE) and my G5s were just a graf wide. I have no complaints about the skates and ive been skating in them for about 3-4 months now.
