which end is which!?

Just got my inno shaft from hockeyshop.com. Nice shaft!!! Only problem, i can't tell which end is which!!! I got a wooden end plug, but it came floating in the box, it wasn't attached to the stick. On top of that, each side of the shaft has "innovative" going in different directions, and the fedorov nameplate is almost dead smack in the middle of the shaft. Only way to separate the two ends is the sticker on the inside of the shaft, with the flex marking on it. I can't even tell which end is which by flexing it, so can someone help me out???

Haha, same thing happened to me! I got one awhile back. Also, you can look to see where the black nameplate is. That should be the butt end side. The nameplate is the black oval paint where a player's name is usually typed or painted in. It's very distinguishable.

yeah but the nameplate is almost smack dead in the middle of the shaft. Thanks a lot kobe, i actually figured the sticker-end was the butt b/c of the direction "federov" was going....makes sense b/c its right-side up when u sit the stick up against the wall. thanks for clearin that up

Just to clarify, should 'federov' be spelled from butt end to blade end?

When I received mine it had a buttend installed, so I just fitted a blade to the other end. However, reading about the uncertainty regarding these shafts it occured to me that they could have put the butt end in the wrong end at the shop.

jd, on my stick, i put the butt-end on the end of the shaft that had the sticker inside, and mine reads federov from blade to butt... ("F" on the bottom). i found that strange but everyone said the sticker end was the butt end <_<

not the price sticker (i had one of those on the butts too), theres a sticker inside the shaft that has the model initials and a few numbers including the flex.

Aah, didnt know that. Will have a look tonight, although I cant remember seeing a sticker on the inside when I put the blade in

mine took 7 days, i ordered it late on a sunday night, and i got it the following monday. Not too bad, b/c i'm in NY, so it was coming down from the west coast of canada then across country by ground.
