This tape sounds great from reviews etc. but when it does eventully wear down and peel away and you go to replace it and you peel it off does it take paint with it?

Frankly i really didn't like this stuff... I mean it protected from skates, and stuff... But when i took it off to change it it took off all the paint, and any loose chips of graphite on it

a friend of mine used it and he said if it gets even a lil bit wet ..it justs peels off ...he also said it doesn't even work

I used regular clear tape and it worked well. still took off the finish though.

The tape itself is really thick so after applying it, your whole shaft will feel thicker......it is thicker than sock tape by maybe 2-3x and yes it does peel off graphics but it does say right on the label the wrap is meant to be permanent.
