at the fuse point should be below the bottom diamond (<E>)

how can you tell what the fuse point is, and will that fit a tapered blade?

look close and youll see a hairline where the blade was put into the shaft.....start near the heel and work your way up to the shaft..... youll see it.

Yes it will fit a jr. tapered blade most likely

A. You're going to have to chisel/file all of that grey crap out of there.

B. Cut slightly higher but end up losing a bit of the taper.

The intermediate synergys are different than other intermediate shafts because they will only fit intermediate synthesis blades (assuming you've saved the taper).

You're still going to have to chisel/file out whatever is left in the shaft. You should be able to see the taper with the naked eye. What blade would fit into a non-tapered intermediate synergy shaft is another question. I'm thinking maybe a senior tapered blade or an intermediate standard blade might work.

The shaft will get slimmer as you move closer to the end where the blade goes in. Look it up in the dictionary if you still don't know what I mean. The definition of the word taper should give you a pretty good picture.

hi.... i got a int synergy... if you flip it around, you cant put a normal senior blade in. you have to use an int blade... or you could just get a normal senior blade, and file away some of the tenon...

I don't know where the taper ends as I do not own a synergy. Somebody else will know but you should be able to see the taper by just eyeing it dude. Grab the middle of the shaft and slide your hand all the way down the shaft to where the blade used to be. You should be able to feel the shaft get slimmer near the blade end. If you can't see or feel any taper at all then you might have cut a little too high.
