tapered inno blade...

Recommended Posts

I'm ending choosing between a synthesis iginla or a inno tapered McCarthy blade...

1.I'm now using a syns si-core...how the feel is difference from a syns normal or a inno ??I never used a inno blade but heard from their excellent feel...

2.My Si-core is splitting like every one in this forum!! <_< i whanna know if this problem is only a si-core problem or the syns normal do the same thing??And how about the durrabillity of a inno??...

3.How the balance of the Inno tapered is...??(Some might know it...i had problem with the L-2 Blades height(make it feel blade-heavy!)

Finally,How big the difference is between a McCarthy and the Iginla!??

Thanks for your time,

Alex...

1. never used the syn. si-core but have used the regular syn. blade and the inno is way better all around

2. ive had my inno for a while now and its still in great shape.

3. the inno tapered blades have a longer hosel so it makes it feel a little more blade heavy but it just takes time to get used to

1. I have a synthesis si-core combo...and I love it! I had a synthesis regular before and it was pretty similar to the si-core blade just not as good feel. I have no experience with the Inno.

2/ 3. Regular synthesis blade makes a good balance with the synthesis shaft...Synthesis and si-core blades get chippped REALLY easy!

1) The Inno has much better feel in my opinion than any Easton Synthesis blade does.

2) I've heard of regular Synthesis blades splitting as well.

3) I haven't had any problems regarding balance with my tapered Inno, then again, I haven't had any with my L-2 either. I would say for sure though that the Inno is lighter than the L-2. By how much, I don't know.

I have the Inno tapered and, in my opinion, I think will give you better feel and durabilty(Its a tank) over the Synthesis. But they are both good blades.

I've used both the si-core and Inno blades.

1. I personally find the feel to be better with the si-core blades, yet the Innos pack more punch. The Innos have a longer hosel, as has been mentioned, yet I didn't notice a change in balance. I did notice the change in stick height, but what is a 1/2 inch between sticks? The Innos are a bit thinner, and lighter, than the si-cores by about 1 once. (Inno Federov vs. Si-core Modano). Might be a considerating regarding balance.

2. I've experienced similar durablity with both blades. The si-core started splitting at the heel, and the Inno at the toe. I've heard that the new syn. blades are more durable, but from my personal experience I have to call it a draw in terms of durablity between the Inno and Easton.

I can't compare the Iggy and the McCarthty curve.

Moral: If you know you like the Iggy curve then go with the Easton. If slight differences in curve and lie aren't important to you, and you've never use an Inno, then try the Inno. Either way, you're playing a winner. And when choosing between two evils choose the one you haven't tried before.

I had an Inno Kovalev blade that I found unbalanced and heavy for me. People said it was the longer hosel which made it heavy, but the blade itself had poor weight distribution because it required more effort to roll the wrists when stickhandling. A tapered wood blade felt more balanced than it. If you find your L-2 blade to feel heavy, you may not find the Inno any better.
