Tour Ice Skates

Recommended Posts

The new one has two posts that hold the steel but you can access the nuts without removing the holder or drilling holes in the footbed.  It looks very Cobra or ICM-ish but uses the same steel as a custom+.  I think it really has potential if it's stiff and has good steel. The skates I had were so bad and fit so poorly I couldn't even begin to demo them and I gave them back to my rep after being on the ice less than a minute.

Chadd - Have you by any chance seen the Rebellion "T-Blade" holder? It is solid plastic, all the way through, no holes like Tuuks, Cobra's, etc., with interchangable blades, if you haven't. Heavy as hell and I honestly think they would feel like garbage on ice.

I have seen the Rebellion "3D" holder but I have not used it. We do not carry the skates, our rep simply gave me a pair of the new top-end skates to demo.

I used the 3d holders for about a month. They're ok, but much too heavy. They actually skated pretty normally. The biggest adjustment is in turns and crossovers since they sort of put you at a sharper angle.
