Here's a question for you Chadd, I just had my son put his 703's on and the top of his instep is about a 1/4" taller than the top of the skate where the eyelets are. Have you ever seen this before? Would it be best to try to get some customs made up or is there something out of the box that would be deeper?

he needs 735s, sounds like the boot isnt deep enough for his foot. this is when the ankle bone sits more forward on ur sons feet. now the 735 fits very similar to the 735 just its a deeper boot with a slightly more foregiving forefoot section.

i'm 15 yr(so i could be your son lol)my size is 9...and i'm looking into the nike, mission and i always swear by CCM from the past...but the new tack are like vector/rbk remake..there not the same tack...and i never liked the vector

So i would says...

Nike

Mission

I believe the only thing the new Tacks took from the Rbk/Vector line is the CCM E-Blade. The rest of the Tack is just further evolution of the Tack line.

just another note to the long one is they also lowered there arch slighlty to compete more with bauer since bauer owns the most market for skates.

I'm not familiar enough with the graf line to know the depth of the 735 boot compared to the 703. I would look around to see if anything on the market fits better before looking to go the custom route.

thats alright, the 735 is a combination of the 705 and 703. it has the 703 narrow fitting heel boot with the 705 depth meaning it fits deeper then the 703. it just allows the ankle to sit further back. any other questions ill be more than happy to answer
