new skates

I am in desperate need for new skates. Since my ancient nikes bit the dust ive been searching around for a nice skate. I went to my LHS and tried on the bauer 6000 but the heel seemed to pinch alot, so theni tried on the ccm vector 7.0 and it fit alot better. I cant afford the vector however. Then i heard the new cmm tacks line is more modleled after the vector line then anyother. So i am really contemplating purchasing a pair but am kinda wiery about buying brand spankin new models. Should i wait to see if they past the test of time? or has any one experienced them first hand or have any thoguhts on em? I also was looking into the v12 but heard nikes a narrower boot so i didnt look to hard into them, is this true?
