Too many cap issues: couldn't keep Vinny, Richards, Khabi, and St. Louis all wanted to renegotiate their contract under the new one time restrutcuring option bargained by the NHLPA. Their first line was Andre Roy, Andre Roy, and Andre Roy.

I actually agree with Hooah. Maybe not this year, but next year as well almost all of Tampa's roster needs to be resigned, especially the young stars on the team. Vinny, Richards, Khabi, and St. Louis are all going to demand a hell of a paycheck, plus there are others on the team who will be looking for a pretty significant sum as well. I can't see them hanging on to half of their roster in the next couple of years.

And beside, we all know that this was Toronto's year to win it.

with the 24% rollback, they won't be getting as much. They could get the whole team back and stay under the cap.

Hey guys,

I plan on tallying these votes for fun and creating brackets next Wednesday. That’s when the playoffs would start and I figured for fun we could have our own MSH playoffs. I’ll tally the picks from this thread and set up the parings to start next week.

I can only count serious rankings though, so please try to pay attention to the top three. they can not be from the same division.

;)

Well as much as I hate them, they are my #1..

1. Ottawa (Bryan Murray+Jason Spezza=money)

2. Philly

3. Tampa

4. Montreal (Habs own T-dot in First round)

5. Toronto

6. Jersey

7. Buffalo

8. Atlanta

13. Boston, they will suck this(that?) year, teams management has their heads up their arses. Why would they not resign their franchise players' linemate..
