zingbergeur 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2005 Hello, I'm relatively new to the forum and have a quick question. I have a pair of CCM Externos with micro bearings. The original wheels and bearings are pretty much done with (I was naive and didn't take good care of them). I read in a few posts that there was no huge advantage to the micro bearings, so I just bought some BSB Titanium-non-micro bearings and Rink Rat Worldcup wheels as I find myself playing more outdoor hockey than anticipated! I was wondering if I will have any problems with this set up on my micro-bearing ccm externos? Do I need some spacers or something? The wheels just came today, but i'm still waiting on the bearings. Thanks in advance for any help,Matt
sdcopp 1 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 you should get floating spacers. They don't have a part that goes thru the bearing middle, the sandwich between the bearings.
gee2626 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 you probably will be getting a set of spacers with your new bearings.... most bearing packages come with spacers suited for them
zingbergeur 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Well, I got my bearings today, and they didn't come with any spacers. The micro spacers don't work because they're too narrow, so I went to some crappy skateboarer/surfer shop and found some nylon spacers that seem to fit alright. I was wondering if I'm compromising any performance with these nylon spacers, and should I order some better ones online? Thanks,Matt
