  1. So the TotalONE features an updated One95 blade but it looks like the ONE100 will be close[r] to the X:60 blade? Or am I mistaken?
  2. You should open up a shop in the tri cities if you do ;)
  3. Because some people believe this Exactly. I have never been under the assumption as a customer that I am always right. That's a myth. I treat others the way I want to be treated.
  4. I went from 100/50 to 100/75 just to see. Felt pretty close to the same for me in terms of bite. Is that how it is? I know when I went from 3/8 to 7/16 (or vice versa) it felt quite different.
  5. Yeah, there's a guy at my local LHS that has given me a discount twice without me asking or even thinking about it. Needless to say I go there despite it being a 45 minute drive away when I could go to a much closer one that's 15 mins away (their service sucks)
  6. 100/75 is more 3/8" I thought? Yeah I would say to try 100/50.
  7. The technical difference is the FBV uses straight slopes down to the flat on the inside edges whereas the BFD uses a slope with a radius down to the flat. |\_/| versus |(_)| Blackstone came out with the FBV well before Blademasters BFD. Blackstone (per JR) tried different cuts (including the radiused slope like the BFD), but found that the V profile worked the best. Blademasters has a document on their page discounting the blackstone FBV claims... it's an interesting read, but read it for what it is, a marketing tool. In fact, blademaster went to great lengths (prior to the release of BFD) of trying to make people believe that flat bottom profiles were merely a gimmick. Simple fact is FBV is much more prevalent and I have yet to see a negative review of it. Can't argue with success. Someone on another board managed to call it a scam lol.
  8. http://www.blackstonesport.com/fbv_where.cfm#BritishColumbia If you have a car I suggest you go to The Hockey Shop in Surrey (it's listed there). I would avoid Sport Chek. The other locations are no where close.
  9. Yeah I'll see, I'm going to skate on it in at least a couple of games before I decide.
  10. I absolutely noticed the increased glide for sure. You're right, I'm going to stick with it. I'm sure it's just that I'm not used to the less bite. After all I did have 3/8" sharpening this most recent time, 7/ 16" normally, so that could explain it.
  11. hrm...gonna have to see how 100/50 feels in a game. Ice will probably be softer tonight too (I guess that would be the term? I'm pay little attention to the details of the ice). Didn't quite get enough bite for my liking this morning at stick and puck. Although I guess I could get used to it eventually, wasn't too bad.
  12. That's Hockey reairs at 10P on TSN2 for those who missed it. Thanks for the heads up, got it set on the PVR
  13. Have you checked http://www.blackstonesport.com/fbv_where.cfm#Michigan ? Supposedly pretty up to date. I don't know Michigan too well so don't know if any of those are close.
  14. Finally got it done, 100/50. Gonna try it out Wednesday. Sucks there's no afternoon public skate or stick n puck today. Too busy tomorrow.
