airin21 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2012 Hello everyone I'm brand new to the forum. I've been playing ice hockey for most of my life up until the end of high school. I just recently started back up by playing some drop in. I feel it's time for a new stick. I have one of the original easton stealths and it's pretty beat up. I've been looking at sticks online and found the s15 for $99, but they have the s17, s19, the new rs. Is the s15 too old of a stick to even bother with? Anyone use it? What do you think?airin21Thanks.
bigdmac 12 Report post Posted January 25, 2012 The S17, S19 and the RS are better sticks than the S15, but if you're looking to save some money the S15 is a pretty good bang for the buck.
LeMagnifique66 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2012 I've bought up a few of them with the recent price drop thanks to the release of the RS. So far, I like them quite a bit, especially for the price they're going for now. Mine have worn well. The blade doesn't seem too hot, yet is decently responsive. Really, I think they're only something like 15 grams heavier overall than the S19 too. The eliptical profile isn't nearly as pronounced as it is on the S19. But, it still provides a pretty good kick. Again, it's a pretty solid stick, especially for these prices, IMO. If I'm not mistakin', Chara broke Iafrate's long-standing slapshot speed record with the S15 in '09. (A stick model he was still using for competition after the release of the S17, if that means anything to you.)

As for the s15 OPS I have heard good things about them. At the same price point I would also look at Sherwood t-90's and Vapor X40's. If the OP does mean the shaft then the shaft isn't bad. I would rather own a totalone shaft or ak27 shaft though. If you live in Canada I would stop by a sportchek also. The one near me has Dolomites and Kroniks for $130 and Hitmans for a little less than that. Something you may want to check out.
airin21 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 Thanks for the replies. I live in Michigan, I went and checked it out at perani's (LHS) it seemed pretty good. But I'll have to look at the other sticks mentioned as well. Although, I'm thinking the S15 might be what i choose. And yes I was looking at the OPS.
