What's going on?! Got an email from a major LHS near me in the UK & they reply they got from Eason regarding the release if the MAKO 2's in the UK was that they are delayed for a few months - no reason given. Anyone know a reason for this? I may go to the Bauer 190's - can't be waiting this long! Disappointed is not the word :-(

In you opinions it the extra $$ from the M8 to the Mako II worth it for an intermediate rec hockey player? Thanks I have been on one.6's for the last year & half.

Just a quick answer needed - why get step steel over the easton blades? Still waiting for the mako 2 release in the UK.... gaaaa!!

So what do you suggest? Get the blades sharpened 'twice' on its first sharpen? Thx

I think the extra stiffness is in the heel lock section, a higher quality composite is used to prevent the possible breakdown that happened to heavier skaters in the Mako 1's. You probably won't notice it as 'stiffer' but the 2's will keep their original stiffness better than the 1's for heavier users. That's my understanding of it.

Remind me why I'm excited to buy the Mako II's when they're released? Team mates are like: 'you don't want those, they're weak' I weigh in at 170-180lbs so not heavy. & they copy Bauer's, get Bauer's, there's a reason everyone has them. The Mako's are copying Bauer's by being made stiffer. Bauer's will last much longer than the Mako II's. Playing devils advocate here but humour me please - why should I spend my hard earned cash on Mako's & not one of the others? Thanks guys for your time in answering this.

Am hoping the Mako 2's will be released early June '14 in the UK. Itching to get my hands on a pair. Upgrading from Supreme one.6's...
