    Having bought a pair of RPD Shifts a few weeks ago and skated on them a few times, I have had an issue with my skating I couldn't put my finger on. Having examined the boots, the left chassis is mounted squint, toe in. It is a significant misalignment in comparison to the properly aligned right skate. Having read the quoted post above, I am disappointed by this. I have further seen a post on Instagram with the same issue on an older model. All seems to be the left skate. Surely a brand has to do better in terms of quality control. Won't be buying Alkali again. Will stick to Bauer. Lesson learned.

    Looking forward for advice. What is the RPD team+ like as a skate? Is it comparable to the original rpd Max in terms of fit and stiffness? I ask as I assume it is similar materials.

    Bauer x7.0, labeda grippers, mission hi Lo. These are the same skates from my last post, got them redone and mounted further back. These are my old ice skates and they fit perfectly, so it's great I could convert them and continue using them.

    It's the correct size chassis, but I'm getting them remounted further back.

    Bauer x7.0, mission chassis, labeda gripper wheels. After much deliberation over whether to do them myself, I sent these off to a proshop to do them. Unfortunately when I received them back the job was done poorly. Sent them back to be repaired, and a good job done. Only issue is how far forward they have been mounted. Has anyone skated on similar and how is it? For me it feels strange and not sure if I could get used to it.

    I'd say the 8 in vapor is probably a proper fit, but the ee width isn't enough. So I wear an 8.5.

    How is the stiffness on these skates? I had a pair of tour zx9 and was very disappointed. Also I am an 8.5 in vapors, with a little room to spare, however 8s are too small. What would the alkali sizing equivalent be?

    Hey Justin, aside from the new tech in the max+ skates, is there a considerable difference in either weight or stiffness over last year's max model? Or how do the shift+ match up? On a budget so trying to decide which ones to go for?

    Is your chassis mounted on the indent?

    So having inspected my x7.0 outsole before fitting the chassis. The outer part of the outsole is significantly thicker than the the middle, where there is like a channel, where it is very thin. Problem is, a couple of the mounting holes would be on this thinner part. Will it still be strong enough to hold up?

    Just about to start my project, quick question, do vapor boots have any give in them? My chassis doesn't sit flush along the bottom and there is a gap, I take it it would pull together to meet the mounting plates?

    Looking to mount a hummer on my ice skates. Problem is in the UK I can't see tnuts anywhere online, and I'm also unsure of what material to make shims out of to create the clearance required. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
