have you seen the blade shape?
Here's a pic of the usual Spezza blade shape:
I don't understand how he shoots with a blade like that, you'd think that a high and quick shot would be inaccurate because the top of the toe is gone. I'm not sure exactly how often the puck goes off the top part of the toe but I have to imagine with the shot motion being the way that it is, that a lot of shots would leave the blade on the top of the toe. Also the bottom of the blade, if it's not your pefect lie... forget about it.

the pattern isn't soo bad but the blade shape is godawful. I think it's the only blade shape I dislike more than the pro Hull.

wow, seems like everyone is breaking their ankles. A few weeks ago we were playing a game and my buddy went in for the puck and a guy from the other team steps on his blade and slides into the boards breaking his ankle. Then the team finishes the game by trying to fight us... because obviously it was our fault he stepped on one of our blades.
Anyway, get better guys! Best of luck in your recoveries. :)

Lovin the MSH jersey. Was the kit easy to put on?
I didn't do it. There is a place in town that does Twill lettering very reasonably. $25 (one color) $35 (two color) $45 (three color).
I had it done there. The Gold isn't an EXACT match...but it's DAMN close.
yeah, it's just a bit lighter. Still looks very good.

those white eagles are SICK! The only thing that would look better if the logos were in white outlined in silver.

that reminds me... I was coaching and I happened to look over and saw a kid doing something with his stick. He was prying a metal electrical outlet cover off with the blade of his stick. I walked to the end of the bench and told him to stop and he got scared and ran away... I seriously want to know where his parents were, probably at the bar.

because they can't afford to buy in higher numbers so the manufacturer charges them more. HG or HM is going to buy more product from the manufacturer so that company will charge them less for the product. So in turn HG or HM can sell the product for a lower price, not to mention their volume of sales. Also much of their product is stored in a warehouse instead of a sales floor, a showroom floor space is going to cost a LOT more than a warehouse full of gear. It has to be presentable, air conditioned/heated, etc, etc...

nice shins tbl what are they like ?
Nice and snug, the knee bends like butter out of the box... They sit a little higher than my vectors did, I probably would have been better off with a 16.5-17" shin but I'm going to deal with what I got. It was hard enough to find these, let alone tracking down a 17" shin or worse... dealing with HM customer service.

I actually liked it in closer, helped it fit to the helmet and tucks my nose in(for better protection. I'm going to stick with the cage for now but I'm looking for a 8K shell or one with VN already in it to pair with the half shield.
The decision to start actively looking for this 8k was moreso the fact of convience than looks. My hair is really thick and I hate getting hair cuts so normally I get them about once a month... by the end of the month my CCM barely fits and is a little snug on the sides, the RBK has the dial so I can expand the helmet and adjust the length accordingly without use of tools.

I flex sticks but it's jsut to get an idea of where the sticks flex(where the kickpoint is). It only takes a little bit of pressure, just enough to barely flex the stick. You can feel how low or high the flex point is and it gives you a better idea of how the stick will compare to what you are using.

I was in one of my LHSs today and it was dead. When I walked in it was the owner, me and a ups guy. I just looked around and out of habit I put a couple sticks that were out of place back where they go. The owner thanked me and we talked shop for a few minutes. I don't frequent that shop but he's a nice guy. I think I even sold him on trying out a response lite and we both agreed that warrior sticks are overrated. A lot of what we talked about is covered in here.
P.S. Now that the kids are out of school I'm sure we're going to see more posts about how parents are idiots.

You gotta have multiple jerseys of your team! I have the white and dark practice jerseys and home and away replicas. I'm waiting to get an authentic next year.
The black practice jersey is an Afanasenkov. The dark replica is the first jersey I bought, best I could afford at the time.

I do like the gloves, I am just very anal about somethings and idk I've just never managed to throw my one90s in the bag. They feel great, look better and are light as air. Dammit, I think I just talked myself into using them. :P

Any words about the one90s from your point of view? Mine are on the way, i hope they'll arrive around the end of the next week.
Honestly, I haven't used them more than stickhandling with a smarthockey ball... I can't stop using my eagles. Plus my team's colors are blue and green and the red looks aweful(although it's just a beer league). They feel great but I feel soo comfortable with my eagles I just couldn't put them down. I'm going to try using the TPS and will either sell my one90s or will eventually put them in a rotation.
