Beautiful jersey. Should have gone with green helmets though.

Anyone else watch the Valentimes special? Would have been fun to be in the writers room for some of those exchanges during the speed dating scenes.

I just saw a highlight pack and the numbers on those TB jerseys are way darker grey than they appear in that pic. Has to be awful for the broadcast guys up high. I remember when the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) had great letters on baby blue jerseys...or other way around, I can't remember. A bunch of the Leagues play by play guys complained and I'm pretty sure the league made them stop wearing them.

Not anything exotic or overly fancy, but decided my Escape was bigger than I needed, so I traded it in a couple weeks ago for a Focus.

Has the winter package. Heated seats, steering wheel and mirrors, with remote start. All features I've never had in a vehicle before, so I'm enjoying it. Also enjoying filling up for less than $40 and having that last over a week.

The only good thing about that is the gloves.

Not even sure it's for a few nights. I think I read it's for a one off "Whalers Night" in Dec. Still a nice jersey though.

Just got a text from a buddy of mine. He is in Vegas for business this week. Just bought a single for tomorrow on StubHub. Yeah, I'm a little jealous!!!

Do Americans (without a direct Canadian connection) even "get" it?

Guys with matte black (or Tron-style carbon fiber look) helmets are the new white gloves and mirrored visors. It pretty much confirms douchebaggery is about to happen when you see one in warm ups. There are 4-5 guys in our league that are hated by everyone including their own team. Every one of them has a matte/carbon helmet.
Im sure it’s just a coincidence but it’s been pretty spot on so far.
I object!!! haha

The GM of USA Hockey passed away. 53 years old.

She had such a unique voice. I didn't know she maintained a cottage residence in Peterborough, Ontario. Her ex-husband was Canadian. RIP.

Waiting to hear that Marilyn Manson is going to take his remains/ashes and turn it into the ink for his next albums liner notes.

Country singer Troy Gentry (of Montgomery Gentry fame) and Country legend Don Williams both passed away Friday. Gentry was 50. He died in helicopter crash. Williams was 78.

This video was taken in my defensive end, hence...I will likely not be seen doing anything other than line changes! haha

It also helped TB with their protection list. Drouin had to be protected, but Segachev does not.

The picks only come into play if Sergachev plays 40 games in TB.
I like getting Drouin. Lots of skill. Easily capable of 50+ points. Losing Sergachev could end up hurting and if Beaulieu is indeed on the way out of town as well, that leaves them very thin for young D men. I suspect this means time is running our for Galchenyuk. Reports are he is being shopped for a defenseman.

It was great when we started there. They used to let us park underground and come through the security entrance. But one other group got rowdy or something, and suddenly no one was allowed to park there anymore. Parking was free Sunday nights at the lot across the street, so it was okay. Our ice time was 7:30-8:30 (I think)...but there was never anyone on before us....so, if we got there early and dressed, we'd be on the ice shortly after 7...get all warmed up and get a full hour in. Then when the management group changed from the local company to the US company, they instituted their half hour rule. They even wouldn't let us into the room until 7:00, so our extra ice time went away. Paying almost $400/hour wasn't worth it once all the perks went away.

Is that FirstOntario Centre (Copps?). Used to have a regular Sunday night pickup there. We moved it a couple years back when they raised prices.

Reports say it could be a suicide, but also point to a possible case of autoerotic asphyxiation. Athletes, actors, musicians. Anyone who performs or competes at a high level and seeks that rush of the stage/field is other ways, how many times has that been their downfall??

So, a buddy sends me a msg today "Wanna go to the game?" I reply "Bulldogs?" He says yes. I go to the rink I play at, because I know they sell discount tickets. Turns out...they aren't tickets but vouchers that can be redeemed for tickets. Not a worry, they never sell out so there will be lots of great seats left. Text my buddy that I have the "tix" he asks 7 or 7:30 start. I look at their website...they play at 7:00 ON THE ROAD! I just assumed he already knew they were at home, so I never bothered to double check. Only 2 home games left this season and I know I can't go tomorrow. I've offered them up on facebook for $20 to try to recoup some of my stupidity.
I may end up going alone Sunday just to salvage some of my ticket buying dignity. haha

For just being "dumb" comedy, the timing and delivery is fantastic! The blooper reel is probably hilarious.
The "people you may have heard about but probably didn't" death thread.
