  1. So, How much does Goc want for #57? haha. His old Jr number (39) is available.

Then again...going from the mess in Edmonton to potential linemate with one of the best players in the world...I'm guessing he doesn't care what number he wears!

  2. The slacker/entitlement of youth today (holy hell, I sound like an old man...) bothers me in industries like media and retail, customer service or sales. It downright scares me when that same slacker/entitlement carries over to health care, law enforcement, and things that really matter to the overall well being of society!

  3. I dropped a jersey off earlier this week for lettering at a place I've had a few jerseys done before. I had the jersey already and bought the letter kit online. They usually charge me $20-25 to sew/press it on.

Got a call from her this morning. Thought she was calling to say it was ready. Sadly, no. Apparently, the heat press over heated and burned through the back of my jersey. They are replacing everything, so it will be a very expensive mistake for them...but another week to get it done now. Not really a vent, just sharing a hockey related story. haha

  4. Not so much a vent, as all of these things are by choice...but here is how my weekend is laid out:

    Tonight:

League Hockey at 10:30p...likely not leaving the rink until well after midnight.

    Tomorrow:

I have to be in Oakville (roughly 20 minute drive from here) at 6:30am for 6 hours of testing to see if I am eligible for a job at the Ford Assembly plant.

That should take me to about 1:00p...then rush home for a baseball game at 2:30p

    Pick up hockey at 7:00p

    Monday:

Can't even recover/sleep in Monday...as I have to be at a Networking Group to further aid my job search at 9:30a.

Monday afternoon and likely most of Tuesday will not be productive.

Lost the hockey game 1-0. Had the tying goal on my stick for a penalty shot and he squeezed his arm to his body.

Testing went well (other than Math). We'll have to wait and see what happens next.

    Lost our ball game 13-10

Off to the rink for game 2!

  7. Not to start a huge debate...but I don't think it's fair to just flat out say "a C student shouldn't get a licence". But, I will say that I do like that your 'rents are instilling a sense of responsibility in you. A drivers licence is not a right...it's a privilege.

If you aren't driving at 16...it's not the end of the world. I was almost 18 when I got mine. You'll look back and thank your parents that they made you wait.
